Detailed Usage Instructions

1. Preparation:

   • Use a disc grinder to grind the broken stud, ensuring a flat surface.
   • Secure the 164-3755 Drill Fixture to the cylinder head for stable drilling.

2. Drilling Process:

   • Start with the 1/8-inch drill and drill bushing to drill completely through the broken stud.
   • Follow up with the 5/16-inch drill and drill bushing to remove the stud.

3. Engine-Specific Instructions:

   • 3200 Family Engines: Bolts are used to retain exhaust manifolds. HeliCoil is acceptable for repairing these heads.
   • 3300 and 3400 Family Engines: Studs with taper lock threads are used to retain exhaust manifolds. HeliCoil cannot be used for repairing these cylinder heads.
